Youth Basketball Coach

 Position Overview

A successful Georgia Kings Basketball (GKB) coach needs much more than an understanding of how to play the game -- so much so that many winning basketball coaches find success despite never having been top players. A GKB coach must be able to manage the administrative duties of the job, recruit top players, get them in shape, create a team, motivate players and teach them how to play the game. 

General Responsibilities

A Georgia Kings Basketball coach must:

  • Read and adhere to Georgia Kings Sports Foundation (GKSF) policies and procedures detailed in the Georgia Kings Handbook.
  • Coach and develop players in a way that aligns with the GKSF's mission and values.
  • Communicate consistently with team families about all team activities including but not limited to practices, training, tournaments, etc.
  • Communicate consistently with the GKSF management team and address concerns quickly with a positive mindset.
  • Travel to practice locations and tournament locations as assigned.
  • Work with GKSF management to ensure all activities and events have appropriate staff coverage in the event of an absence.

Youth Basketball Skills Trainer

 Position Overview

A Georgia Kings Basketball (GKB) Skills Trainer is much more than just the person running the training session. A GKB Skills Trainer goes the extra mile to ensure our players are improving their basketball skills and learning how to apply them during a game. He or she will play an integral role in developing the players physically and mentally throughout the season so a passion for the game of basketball is a must.

Communication Specialist

Communication Specialist

 Position Overview

A Georgia Kings Sports Foundation (GKSF) Communication Specialist plays a key role in providing our current and potential GKSF family members with a positive, professional experience. To succeed in this role, you want to make the member's happiness the priority so this means giving them proactive communication, thoughtful interaction and high quality of service.

General Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Read and adhere to Georgia Kings Sports Foundation (GKSF) policies and procedures detailed in the Georgia Kings Handbook.
  • Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
  • Maintain a maximum 24 hours response rate for any inquiries, support tickets, or emails
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the GKSF's strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
  • Facilitate the resolution of disputes with external role-players.
  • Adhere to the GKSF's style guide, ensuring that we produce high-quality and error-free copy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents/players and key external role-players.
